Sophie, always curious, set out on an adventure to explore what connects us to the many wonders of the world:
Part of this journey was training as a professional dancer at the Laban Dance Conservatoire in London. Then, after touring internationally with the Taudevin Dance Company, Sophie moved to Edmonton where she taught and performed contemporary dance with Mile Zero while qualifying as a Holistic Health Practitioner. At the centre of this adventure has always been the inspiring truth of yoga.
It is the force of this truth that took Sophie to India to study the source of yoga in the hopes of sharing its wisdom. Sophie is the co-author of the kid’s yoga book, “Yoga Monkey and the Search for the Prana Banana” and hope’s Yoga Monkey can be a way for families to share the benefits of yoga.
When the intergalactic bliss of tantra was awakened for Sophie it became another important part of what she is inspired to share. Sophie sees tantra as a powerful way of creating a healthy and vibrant relationship to our sexuality and creative life force. Sophie has Studied tantra with various teachers in Thailand and at InanItah in Nicaragua.
As a singer and song writer, Sophie has always found a soul-medicine in sharing the story of her heart through music. Since the age of 15, Sophie, has collaborated in a large array of music projects from a funk band to a Gosbel Choir. Currently, Sophie is part of The Goddessa Collective, which blends acoustic and electronic music with live art and electronic projections as well as aroma therapy and ceremonial cocoa, all with the intension of creating sensual awakening experiences.
A little from Sophie:
“Allowing my breath to unite my body and consciousness peals off the many layers of what I think I am, so I can explore what is real… Surrendering resistance has allowed me to experience life as infinitely awesome, fiercely beautiful, constantly changing and exactly what I need to grow.”
